Val

Native to Paris and New York City, val was immersed in music from childhood. Their musician father showed them the wonders of classical music and old french pop songs. Their love for singing grew through years of choir singing, voice lessons, and performing. val has been writing music since they could scribble on a piece of paper, often writing in their song notebook any chance they could and teaching it to their sister. Music has followed val through life, from being a vocal major at LaGuardia High School, to getting a performance degree in opera. Big inspirations for val are Jacob Collier, Aurora, Searows, Billie Marten, Billie Eilish, BigFlo & Oli, Charles Aznavour, Fiona Apple, Lizzie McAlpine, Pomme, Dodie, Serge Gainsbourg, and so many others.
