A Huge Pop Album from Kid Rose

A new album release from Kid Rose delivers a wondrous and almost fantastical combination of soundscapes and textures that all call back to this almost vintage pop feel with classic synths and keys along with a robust and honest character that you end up latching on to right from the start.

The Thriller (Rose Edition) album is brimming with a very particular energy and sort of swagger that combines that classic pop feel with a little bit of R&B, so, rock, and more.

All this is rolled up into one massive record and the whole thing is completely danceable and packed with hooks that end up bouncing around in your brain for hours or even days after the songs of ended.

The only way to satiate something like that is to go and listen to the songs again and to me that smart songwriting but I feel like four Kid Rose, it's just the natural form.

This is a vibrant and energetic release that comes with such a lush and robust array of sounds that all have such amazing grooves and rhythms so the whole record becomes quickly infectious.

I really adore the vocal approach on this release because it adds that personality to everything and gives the songs a bit more meaning as well as layering these great melodies cross everything giving them those thick hooks that you remember.

You can tell that there was a lot of detail and attention paid during the creation of this record but throughout all of that, it never loses that sort of heart or character and that may be the most important aspect of the entire thing.

I absolutely love how he was able to completely nail that classic pop Aesthetics so incredibly well and it's not just in the key and synth tones, but it's also in the arrangement, the chorus is, the vocal performances, and more.

You can hear all these great influences coming through in different tracks here and there.

The production on this record is outstanding from beginning to end and this is one of those albums that you should listen to as a whole.

Listening to a few tracks might give you a slight gist of what you may expect but, it doesn't give you anywhere near the full spectrum of what the full album has to offer.

This is important for me because I am from a time. Where you would hear a track on the radio, see a video on MTV a band artist in a magazine and then you would go and find that song that you heard on an album that you would buy at the store.

Taking home a record and listening to it in full is an experience and that's what this album delivers.

This is an amazing escape, and not only does it take you to a different era of pop altogether, but it also pulls you away from your surroundings and puts you in a different place and to me that's kind of a gift in music.

You can also tell those certain tracks on this record definitely came from real-life experiences and personal inner thoughts which adds to the character that the album portrays and makes everything even more authentic.

This was a bit of a pop opus and there's not a single track on it that's worth skipping so again, when you listen to this, do the full album because it's well worth your time and it's only 22 minutes long anyway.

All these songs are complete bangers and i love listening to something that I know took time. It took love and a passion for the genre to really put this all together.

It makes everything all the more better.

This is a record with fewer boundaries than the norm and felt great to listen to.

If you listen to this at home then move the couch back so you can dance, if you listen to it in the car be expecting to shake your butt in your seat, and if you listen to it with headphones then kick back and just bob your head to everything because there's a lot to soak in and there are some great layers to this record.

I'm sure you'll enjoy this as much as I did.
