A Vast and Post-Punk Inspired Rock Single from Antonis Vlavo and George Bandoek Apostolakis

A fresh release from Antonis Vlavo teams up with George Bandoek Apostolakis to give off an almost theatrical alternative rock soundscape that combines other elements like industrial, alternative pop, and more, all rolled into one vast feeling track that lets you just get engulfed in the textures and vibes it gives off.

"Irrational" has a very spacious feel to it so everything comes through sort of expansive but still with this edginess and pop overcoat that makes it danceable and colorful along with that edgy undertone.

This is a great combination because he's actually bringing in elements of postpunk and even new wave at times and I enjoy the fact that he's able to take so many genres and melt them together so seamlessly into one forward-moving track that feels like it has this natural flow to it.

The drums give this track the drive that it needs, and it pushes the envelope right to where it should be, and the guitar tones are excellent because they add this almost anthemic and even more colorful tonality to the song but it's also the keys and the synths that build this track up.

There are synth pads that float through the ether of the track giving it that expansive and vast tonality and it works wonders because it lets the song feel big and sonically driving but still with that sort of gracefulness.

The vocals are a bit robust and have a deeper tone which helps give the song a different layer of texture atop all the music and the cool thing about it is, that the vocals actually complement the song so well that it lets everything thrive.

This is important because when you have a song like this, a lot is going on. There's a lot of notes and different tones going on during the unfolding of this track and it's really important to have vocals that match the energy that the music does.

Antonis does this perfectly hear as he's able to complement the music.

In combination, you have this energy that feels almost like a live performance but also cinematic at the same time.

This was a track that hit hard at certain moments but also still kept to that graceful approach that let everything stick to that smooth sort of flow and I think that works well here but what's most important I think, is the personality and character that the track actually delivers.

The performance instrumental is outstanding because you can tell there was a lot of attention to detail even in the guitar tones, that bass tone is a really important aspect of this track as well, and the whole aesthetic that it puts out there.

Between the bass guitar and the synths, you definitely get that post-punk vibe.

I love this because I grew up listening to post-punk, alternative rock, and a lot of other stuff but I feel like Antonis nailed a particular aesthetic here and you can hear his actual influences coming through on this track in different sections.

This song speaks volumes for the artist and how he's able to nail the sound and the feel that he's going for when he's producing a song and recording it.

The track is impressive on a lot of different levels, and I think that there are a lot of personal attributes that went into this track so that it's got a deeper meaning, especially for Antonis himself.

For the listener, it takes you into a different world and I love that fact because it serves as a bit of an escape.

This was an outstanding single and I would suggest listening to it with headphones on so you could really soak in everything that's going on in the track.

Again, there's a lot of great textures and tones happening throughout the song that gives it a particular atmosphere.

You don't want to miss anything.
