Stacy Citron just dropped a brand-new single that displays a lot of her personality and how powerful that can be with an honest but spirited pop release that blends a colorful classic pop tone with a bit of an edgy rock backbone and this combination works wonders for the song and its premise because it showcases both the colorful side and the edginess of her personality.
"Rotation" is an absolute banger and wastes pretty much no time giving you a glimpse of who she is as a person as she displays and gives off that powerful energy and how that helps her navigate through certain kinds of struggles.
One of the things I love about this track particularly is the drive behind it because it's got a robust energy that just comes punching in during those choruses which are very full-bodied and lush while still packing that punch and displaying that right attitude and aesthetic.
There's a lot of addictive attributes to this track and I love the guitar work on it because it really does add that sharper tonality to the song which builds that drive even more and the way that she performs vocally just brings everything home.
She's got a lot of soul in the way that she sings but she also packs a little swagger in there too, so you get a good combination of that little bit of edge in the attitude but a lot of that soul and passion.
You can definitely tell this came from someplace real and it's letting a lot of those inner thoughts out and she probably just needed to do this to get it off of her chest.
Having said that, it is a fun track and is a great time to listen to with a bit of a light-hearted undertone that lets you know that the whole thing is approached with a touch of humor while remaining real.
The track is definitely vivacious and has a vibrant approach especially in her vocal performance but the whole song really boasts that danceable and pop riddled soundscape so it's a super addictive song that is quickly infectious.
One of the most important things here is that the song shows a lot of her actual personality, and I feel like artists need to do that when they're dropping a song like this. It's a song that of course isn't super serious but does have that authentic premise and also has some heart. It's the honesty of it all whether it's serious or not that you end up loving.
And these are the things that show that personality the most and these are the things you end up really holding on to throughout the track.
I think for a lot of people out there this is going to be very relatable also.
This is kind of a sing-along in its own way as well because that chorus is massive and really hits a certain sweet spot.
The whole thing is produced incredibly well and the keys and synths, the beats, the bass, and everything else is all hard-hitting in its own way while the versus the sort of drift and have a little dreamy element with a vaster undertone in there.
She also really belts during certain parts of his track and showcases that vocal range which is intense and feels great to listen to as well because it's almost inspiring in a way.
Again, this is very spirited and fun, and it has this great vibrancy to it that makes you want to play it on repeat a few times.
A super fun song from Stacy Citron that you can certainly play nice and loud and sing along with in the car, check out "Rotation" as it just dropped on Spotify.
