Midwest alt-metal act ALBORN has never been one to shy away from emotional weight. With the premiere of their latest single “Where Were You,” the band peels back another layer of vulnerability and raw sonic power, revealing a track that hits as hard emotionally as it does physically.

The video for “Where Were You” is stark, compelling, and perfectly in sync with ALBORN’s brand of unfiltered, melodic aggression. It’s a song that feels lived-in—grappling with betrayal, frustration, and disillusionment—but instead of wallowing, it burns through those feelings with unrelenting intensity.

ALBORN’s evolution has been one to watch. From their 2020 breakout EP Impairative to the refined chaos of the Push EP in 2023, they’ve steadily built a catalog that doesn’t just aim for the pit—it aims for your gut.

Singles like “Push” and “Learn to Live” (produced by Chris Collier and James “Fluff” Harley of Korn fame) showcased a band on the brink of something bigger. And that something is happening right now.

In 2024, ALBORN played to packed rooms across the Midwest, stood tall at Rockfest, and delivered radio-ready anthems like “Same Roads” and “A Little Less Than Expected (Show Me).” But “Where Were You” feels like a turning point—a release that proves they’re not just part of the new wave of hard rock; they’re helping define it.

The band’s next chapter kicks off in May 2025 with their upcoming single “YMI,” and a new stretch of tour dates with Throw the Fight and Left on Red. But for now, “Where Were You” is the statement.
