An Anthemic Rock Single From Dead Reynolds

A new release from Dead Reynolds brings out a hard-hitting alternative and electoral rock soundscape that sonically fills the air that surrounds you creating an atmosphere that you really don't want to leave.

"Hurricane" definitely hits with a bit of a gusto and a vigorous approach with anthemic choruses and the whole thing packs not only punch but a load of characters as well.

The guitar work across this track is stellar and you can tell this is created by a group of people that have a true love for what they do not only in terms of their instrument performances but in terms of songwriting itself.

These guys have little hints of old-school arena rock flowing through their veins and that comes through in that persona.

One of my favorite aspects about this record is the sheer raw energy that it boasts because it feels almost like the players are feeding off of each other the whole time and all that does make you want to see them live.

This chorus will end up bouncing around in your head for hours or even days after the song is ended and all that does is make you want to listen to the song again to satiate it.

This to me is just smart songwriting but I feel like it comes to these guys naturally because it all feels so forward moving.

There's something somewhat familiar about this track and I think that has a lot to do with the melody in the soundscape of it all radio station in your city either a few years ago or even right now.

This is an amazing showcasing of a band that knows how to write a strong single but also has it feel colorful and edgy at the same time with this massive persona that carries it all.

Another one of my favorite aspects about this track is the ripping guitar solo before the last chorus because that is something I've certainly missed in heavy rock music for a long time.

We need more of this, please.

We need more songs that put out this balance between metal, alternative rock, and arena rock, and also this excitement and electric energy on the recording itself.

This is the kind of stuff that makes you want to go see a band live in your face.

One of the most pertinent things that come right out at you is the fact that this has a lot of heart behind it and that says a lot for a band especially in this day and age because they display some of that same heart some of the classic bands did and that could be the biggest missing piece and heavy rock music for the past 10 years maybe.

These guys put out an excellent single that hits just right, all the sweet spots are there, it's got heart, it's got character, and the energy is unstoppable the entire time.

This is the type of band I'm going to be keeping an eye out for to see what happens next.

As a matter of fact, upon listening to this single I went and took a little bit of a deep dive into their back catalog on Spotify and was pleasantly surprised that the massive number of single releases along with a full-length album dropped since 2018.

I found it delightful to listen to the evolution of this band from then until now and if you have some time, I would suggest doing the same thing especially if you like "Hurricane".

Turn this one up nice and Loud, cuz the louder it goes the better it sounds.

I'm giving this a straight-up 9 out of 10 hands down.
