From Hawaiian beaches to Tennessee hills, CLIVE embodies the unexpected. Jesse Makuakane, a Hawaiian native with a voice as big as the Pacific, and Keegan Perez, a Chattanooga boy with a soulful past in the choir scene, found their musical match at a tiny liberal arts college in sunny Santa Barbara. Throw in the rhythm section of John Butler's bass and Adam Spradley's drums, and you've got a punk rock cocktail unlike any other. Marching band discipline meets a love for everything from jazz and classical to Latin beats and even Orthodox chants. English, music, and religious studies majors, these guys aren't just about noise – they're about ideas. "Clive is Dead, Long Live Clive," their debut, is a statement. Jesse and Keegan's vocals and guitars rip and tear, while John and Adam hold it all down with a groove that'll rattle your bones. This isn't just punk, it's punk with a purpose. CLIVE sings about the stuff that matters: social injustice, personal struggles, the messy beauty of being human. It's music that makes you think, makes you angry, makes you feel alive. SoCal's punk scene just got a wake-up call. CLIVE is here, they're loud, and they're not going anywhere. "Clive is Dead, Long Live Clive" is just the first shot. Get ready, world.
