Electric Cherry was formed by the meeting of four guys passionate about the rock music of the '70s, '80s, and '90s, driven by the desire to create original material inspired by that period. Among the group's very first singles are “Right or Wrong” and “Fly Away From This”, part of their debut album “ELECTRIC CHERRY”—released on September 6, 2021. In 2022, the band reached the final stage of auditions in a contest for Sony Music. Moreover, they were ranked among the top nine bands selected nationwide, receiving a special mention in Rolling Stone Italy. In anticipation of the Sony Music Italia auditions, the band recorded a cover of the well-known song “Don’t Stop the Music” by Rihanna, released on June 6, 2022, accompanied by a simultaneous YouTube video. In the same year—after surpassing all selection phases and regional semifinals in Lazio—the Electric Cherry participated in the final stage of the very important contest "Sanremo Rock", performing on the prestigious stage of the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo. The group has recently completed recordings for their new album and the creation of two videos. The project's release is scheduled for autumn 2024 with the artistic production of Alessandro Forte (already producer of Aiello, Galeffi, and Scrima). The album will be anticipated by the single "Anyway You Want", released on Friday, October 18, 2024, under the independent label Pepperpot and distributed by ADA Music Italy. The Electric Cherry consists of Alessandro Santucci (electric and acoustic guitars, lap steel, mandolin, and audacity), Christian Ferrara (vocals, guitars, and poetics), Stefano Sforza (bass, keyboards, and wisdom), and Giorgio Spila (drums and energy).
