Julia Powell - "Lazarus"

The new release from Julia Powell is a statement and it feels like a close fisted one. "Lazarus" is a new song that boldly lets everyone know that she is back and not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.

The sense and sentiment of this song is loud and clear, and its catchy piano pop style is radio friendly and fueled by her calling to come back to music.

"Lazarus is about coming back to music. After my last EP, Ephyra, I burned out a little and had to focus on life for a minute. That was two years ago, and my life is so different now. So, I decided it was time to finally come back. I wrote Lazarus as an apology to my fans who hadn't heard from me for a while, and an announcement that I am back - for good" - Julia Powell

The song is on all platforms you would expect but one of the best ways to catch it is below. An actual live performance from her own bathtub.

It's not the bathtub part that stands out. It's how well she performs this song live.

Hopefully you stopped to watch that. You're welcome. Or...she's welcome.

It seems that this song is part of an LP she is working on as we speak and hopefully, we'll have more information on that as it unravels but for now, "Lazarus"" will keep us at bay.

She has more videos like this on her YouTube along with the original recording of the single and you can catch this on Spotify and get in deeper at her Linktree page.

Julia Powell is one worth watching.
