Hello, I’m Rj Casey a 21-year-old artist from Stratford Ontario. Over the past 5 years, I’ve been writing music constantly and began with dropping an EP when I was 16. I was not satisfied, so I took a break from releasing for a couple of years to work on my sound and songwriting abilities. In August 2023 I released Deja Vu, one of my songs with improved songwriting, and it gained a Spotify playlisting and promotion from an Instagram page with a large fan base. That gave me the inspiration I needed to keep at it. So, over the past year, I’ve made around 120 songs trying to build out my release strategy. Doing this I’ve now been able to find a sound that Is closer to what I want to release, paired with lyrics that mean something to me. I’ve been to many recording studios and my brother even has his own, however, I record all my music on my phone using BandLab and Apple earbuds because I like to mix it myself and have full control of what it sounds like. My next song is coming out this Friday the 17th called USED TO KNOW and I’ll be releasing bi-weekly after the first drop. I’m excited to begin releasing what I’ve been working on for the last couple of years and hope it will resonate with anybody who listens.
