Ryan Dsouza Releases a Classic Single

Writer: R.A.G.R.A.G.

A new release from Ryan Dsouza brings out a classic blues rock vibe that pulls from vintage releases with influence from rock and blues music derived in the 1960s and '70s which is something I absolutely adore because the aesthetic here is completely genuine.

"You've Got That Zing Thing" feels like a classic as soon as you hear it. It's got a bopping rhythm guitar and a driving rhythm section, so you start getting into the groove really quickly.

Ryan's vocals are really what reach out and grab you here because they're kind of animated and have a great little swagger to them which goes with the territory when it comes to this breed of blues rock music.

He performs with some soul and that's what you need with this kind of stuff. If you deliver music like this without soul, it just doesn't come through right.

The energy of this track is pretty outstanding because it feels almost like a live performance which puts you there in the moment and is also something with an addicting and infectious feel.

This is most certainly the kind of track you can't sit still for. It's got that groove that I mentioned earlier, and it makes you want to move. If you're driving in the car, you'll be shaking your butt in your seat or singing along to that last chorus.

There's a great pop undertone here and everything feels so clean and crisp.

He puts a lot into those vocal performances. Again, they are a bit soulful and have a great attitude to them which makes them slightly animated, and this is just a part of the genre.

As the song unfolds you hear all kinds of great instrumentation coming in and along with those guitars you have pianos, walking bass lines performing classic blues riffs, and even harmonica to go along with the already lush soundscape.

You also have some amazing backing vocals that are harmonizing and give emphasis on the bending of notes and help the song feel full-bodied.

This was a fun track and very easy to get addicted to. It sounds and feels so familiar and all those classic influences are right there on the forefront for you to jump onto.

I love listening to a song on the record and immediately knowing that artist or band is going to be amazing to see in a live performance setting.

This is absolutely no exception to that rule.

Listening to this track makes you want to go see Ryan perform it live in your face because if this kind of energy is captured so well on record, then seeing it live is just going to be awesome.

The blues element of this track is to stand out point. It's got blues running through its veins and the whole vibe and aesthetic reaches out and grabs you.

You can tell this was fun to track. You hear the enjoyment, enthusiasm, energy, and charisma on the recording.

This has a colorful approach, and classic influences, and gives you everything you could possibly want from a catchy blues-rock track.

Upon listening to the single, I checked out some other releases from the artist and it was very interesting because this is a little different from some of his other tracks, especially the previous few singles released.

It was great listening to those too because each song he releases seems to be honest and give little pieces of himself at times while describing a story lyrically and those songs paint pictures in your head as you listen.

It was great to hear these different sides of Ryan as an artist and as a person. I would suggest listening to songs like ""The Letter after this one and the rest of his single releases as well.

Most of the stuff was released last year so it's easy to dive right into and you can hear his changes in mood and songwriting. All the stuff is inflected in his songs and it's fun to listen to the evolution of an artist like this.

Take a deep dive into the music of Ryan Dsouza and see what this does for you.
