Game Developer by day, musician by night: Albany, NY’s Steve Moss creates an immersive exploration of lived experiences brought to life through music. Pulling inspiration from Paul McCartney, Emitt Rhodes, and the Elephant 6 Collective in his methods, Steve takes a do-it-all approach to the retro stylings of his rock albums. His home and heart in Worcester, MA, Steve’s musical journey began at sixteen after taking up the drums to sit in with a friend’s band. Expanding his interest into guitars in college, he began the process of perfecting his method of playing every instrument and producing every facet through multi-track recording. This exploration led to the release of his first album in 2004, Glorified Demos. "The whole project started as a proof of concept - testing out ideas as I wrote." His music and his physical art share a core feature. They reflect his exploration of nostalgia and finding simple ways to represent complex things. Through his music he processes life, seamlessly combining raw emotion and musical exploration without pretense. “It’s cathartic. It’s the most honest I find I’m able to creatively be.” Steve engages with the world from the perspective that there’s always more to learn, human connection makes us who we are, and it costs nothing to be kind. Perspectives that shine brightly in his newest album, an album 20 years of experience in the making; Another Go.
